Overview

Mercury's 5.7L V10 400 is the flagship of the Verado line — 400 horsepower of whisper-quiet, torque-rich four-stroke muscle, and this is a matched twin set: one 400 XL and one 400 CXL (counter-rotating), the correct pairing for a twin installation.

These 2024 engines show 255 hours (as of July 2025) and have lived the easy life: freshwater flushed after every use and kept on the trailer in the owner's driveway. Mercury factory warranty runs through July 18, 2027. They're in very good condition, photographed on the transom as offered — including a cowling-off view of both powerheads. Sold as a pair.
