New Mercury 115 EXLPT Command Thrust FourStroke Outboard — 25-Inch Shaft

About this engine

Command Thrust is Mercury's answer to a specific problem: heavy boats that a standard 115 struggles to lift. Pontoon boats, loaded deck boats, work skiffs and big aluminum hulls need propeller diameter and blade area more than they need top speed — so Mercury fits the 115 with the larger Command Thrust gearcase, a 2.38:1 ratio, and the ability to turn the bigger props that get heavy loads moving and hold them on plane at lower rpm.

The engine itself is Mercury's 2.1-liter inline-four: 2,064cc, single overhead cam, electronic fuel injection, and a reputation in rental and work fleets for shrugging off hard use. It is simple where the Verado is exotic, light where the loads are heavy, and economical everywhere — the workhorse specification of the Mercury midrange line.

We have 18 of them, new, in factory crates — the gallery leads with the crate itself, label and all: ME 115 EXLPT CT 4S, model code 1115F5203, a 25-inch EXLPT shaft engine. The unboxed photographs show the cowling from every side so you can see the condition of the stock behind the headline.

The working details: Command Thrust models swing propellers from Mercury's larger gearcase family, which is why a pontoon that porpoises and plows on a standard 115 will stand up and run on this engine at the same throttle. The 25-inch EXLPT shaft suits pontoon transoms and deep-V hulls alike, electric start and power trim are standard fare, and the 2.1-liter four's 35-amp charging keeps a pontoon's stereo, lights and livewell in the black all afternoon.

For commercial and rental operators, the crate-fresh condition matters as much as the specification: no unknown previous owner, no deferred maintenance to inherit, and 18 identical units to standardize parts and service across a fleet. Single-boat buyers get the same fresh start, one engine at a time.

For a pontoon repower, a fleet standardization, or a dealer-volume buyer, eighteen identical new Command Thrust engines at 22.5% below market is a genuine opportunity — Mercury's heavy-boat specialist, priced to move in singles or in bulk. WhatsApp us for quantity pricing.
